Hi Eric, Thanks for everything, the accommodations are excellent. We had a very relaxing 24 hours and only left the boat to have dinner! Now back to real life in our non floating house. Your cat Soya is always welcome if you ever decide to part with her....not likely!
Kurt & Sandra Miller

What a wonderful and sunny week-end! We say in France "Quel pied". And what a great way to discover this great city....We did not win the Rotterdam marathon but we have enjoyed this sailor life (and the sailor's cat!)
Merci pour tout et a bientot,
Christian, Christine et Jasmine

Subject: Medal
Not long ago, we spent a few nights on your boat. For someone like me who loves water and everything that floats on it, as well as old technology, this was an absolute dream. There were many beautiful and unforgettable moments: enjoying a glass of wine on deck, the yummy breakfast, browsing around at the market, back by water taxi for a delicious meal in the Watertoren and, in the evening, dreaming away about bygone days – a feeling that this sort of ship evokes. As far as I’m concerned, there are two persons who deserve a medal this year: the man who accepted the challenge to restore a floating wreck and my girl who had the fabulous idea to give ourselves this gift. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks,
Appie van Aggelen

Subject: 100 points!
After reading so much praise in the guest book it’s difficult to write something new.
So, dear people, if you read this message, you only need to do one thing.
Just BOOK an unbelievable and unique stay on this boat and find out for yourself. Only then will you discover what an amazing experience it is. Definitely 100 points for Eric, everything was great!!!!
Greetings and we’ll certainly see you again,
Jörgen and Miranda Fabrie from Aarle-Rixtel

Subject: Let’s do it more often

Dear Eric,
We’re still dreaming of our stay on your fabulous boat. What a magnificent boat! Perfect location, great bed, delicious breakfast, pleasant restaurant just opposite, cool water taxi a few steps away…
We have small children and I was woken up for the first time in ages by the smell of toast, fried eggs and bacon (according to hubby, the boatman, bacon belongs on a boat, but the PLUS supermarket is also nearby!), accompanied by the sound of splashing water, and even now we can feel the gentle rocking. What more could a person ask for? Well, let’s do it more often!
Best regards,
Hester and Ruben

A well-earned 10
A well-earned 10 for this fabulous boat! Everything is kept spick and span, and the special atmosphere in and around the boat made us feel right at home. In the evening we lit up the fireplace and got comfortable in front of the TV, with a drink and a bite to eat, instead of going into town – simply because we wanted to enjoy the boat to the max. Eric, we’ll definitely be back some time…
Greetings,
Mariet & Syta

Subject: Great tip for connoisseurs
‘De Logeerboot’ (Guest Boat) – the name most likely does not evoke immediate images of a luxurious below-deck apartment on a magnificent antique ship moored at a historic location in Rotterdam – but nothing is further from the truth.
The location is fantastic: on the one hand, only 5 minutes from the arterial roads and, on the other hand, only 10 minutes from Rotterdam Centre. And yet – an oasis of tranquillity. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here now for a few weeks. And you may have guessed, I’m enjoying it tremendously. The apartment is decorated in a trendy style, but has retained its ‘nautical’ charm. It offers all modern amenities, a delightful fireplace, a nice bathroom and, above all, an ambience that is romantic and comfortable. Add to this the owner’s hospitality and the picture is complete. Well, if it were up to me I’d book a few additional weeks – highly recommended for connoisseurs who want to enjoy a weekend in Rotterdam, or businesspeople who want to book for a longer period of time. What a delightful feeling to be able to relax on the boat after a tiring day.

Subject: First night!
Last Saturday, Louis and I were the first guests on this 100-year-old boat! It was a complete surprise, I had no idea.
We took the Fast Ferry to the city and then a water taxi to Watertoren. What an amazing feeling to see the city from the water for a change, rather than from the motorways.
When we arrived at Watertoren, Louis gave me the key and said: ‘Just go down the stairs here.’ I thought: ‘That’s a private boat, I can’t just walk on board.’ Well, I walked down the stairs and was able to open the door to the cabin with the key.
How exciting!
The stairs led down to a large room. And there it was, a real apartment just for the two of us, right on the water.
It is tastefully decorated with beautiful materials and colours in a style that perfectly suits the boat.
Half the boat is below water level, and looking out through the small windows gives you a really thrilling and incomparable sensation.
I’m rarely on a boat, and certainly not to stay and sleep on it.
The apartment consists of a small bedroom with an exceptionally good bed, and a small but comfortable bathroom with a great shower. The living area is large and relaxed. Louis brought along a beautiful film as a surprise, which we watched while enjoying a glass of champagne.
There is also a well-equipped kitchen where guests can cook a meal or make a grilled-cheese sandwich. We only used it to cook a couple of eggs the following morning, make coffee, prepare a delicious breakfast and gobble it up. You see, Louis and I had dinner at the Watertoren the night before, which is only a step or two from the boat. Make sure you reserve in advance! You can enjoy a glass of wine there and be back home in no time.
And did we ever sleep well!!! I’m sure the gentle rocking motion of the boat had something to do with as well.
What a unique spot to spend the night, just a stone’s throw from Rotterdam!!!
(We’re already married, otherwise this would be the ideal place to spend the wedding night.)
Greetings,
Louis and Manon
